Our midwifery services encompass:

Routine Prenatal Care:

  • Comprehensive routine prenatal lab and ultrasound screenings.

  • Visits every four weeks up to 28 weeks gestation.

  • Bi-weekly visits up to 36 weeks gestation.

  • A dedicated 36/37 week visit at the planned place of birth.

  • Weekly in-office visits leading up to birth.

  • On-call Support 24/7

Labor & Birth:

Monitoring During Labor

  • Regularly monitor vital signs of momm and baby.

  • Bring essential equipment, including emergency tools if needed.

  • Adapt support based on your needs and the energy of labor.

Assistance and Support

  • Arrange for additional assistance as childbirth approaches.

  • Provide hands-on or hands-off support, as preferred.

Post-Birth Transition

  • Stay for 2-4 hours to monitor your and your baby's transition.

  • Conduct a full newborn exam and administer chosen medications.

  • Assist with breastfeeding and ensure your space is cleaned.

Routine Postpartum Care:

  • In-home postpartum visit at 24-72 hours, including Oklahoma state-mandated newborn screens such as CCHD, Hearing, and Metabolic.

  • In-home postpartum visit at one week postpartum, performed by your midwifery assistant.

  • 2, 6 and 12 week postpartum visits in office.

Doula Services

Doula care offers emotional, physical, and informational support throughout the childbirth process.

From prenatal education to creating a birth plan and continuous labor support, doulas advocate for the client's preferences and provide immediate postpartum care.

Serving as a bridge between medical professionals and parents, doulas ensure informed decision-making and celebrate the unique strength of every birthing woman.

Doula care includes:

Prenatal Support

Two Educational Sessions (One around 20-25 weeks & 34-36 weeks)

  • Provide information on pregnancy, labor, and postpartum.

  • Discuss birthing options and preferences.

  • Collaborate with the client to create a comprehensive birth plan.

  • Discuss pain management preferences, interventions, and labor scenarios.

  • On call access 24/7 starting at 35 weeks.

Labor Support:

Early Labor

  • Offer guidance for comfort measures at home.

  • Provide emotional reassurance via phone or in person.

Active Labor

  • Join the client at the birthing location.

  • Assist with comfort measures, positioning, and relaxation techniques.

Advocacy and Communication

  • Communicate with medical staff on the client's behalf.

  • Ensure the client's birth preferences are respected.

Postpartum Support:

Immediate Postpartum

  • Offer emotional support and encouragement.

  • Assist with initial breastfeeding if desired.

Postpartum Visit

  • Provide follow-up support within the first week of birth.

  • Address any questions or concerns.

  • Reflect on the birth experience.

Assistant Midwifery

A midwifery assistant is a valuable member of the birthing team, providing essential support to both midwives and expectant parents. The role of the midwifery assistant is to provide continuous support to the midwife during labor.

Midwifery assistants contribute to a calm birthing environment, aid in routine clinical tasks, and ensure the well-being of both mother and baby in the immediate postpartum period. They maintain accurate records, take vitals on mom and baby, and are prepared to assist in emergencies.

Assistant Midwife Services:

Prenatal Care:

  • On-call support

  • 1-2 prenatal visits with your midwife.

  • Attendance at your 36-week birth plan visit.

Labor and Birth:

  • Attendance during active labor, birth, and 2-4 hours immediately postpartum.

Postpartum Care:

  • One home visit to complement your Midwife’s care.
